I mean, the addon would strip out any other affiliate links and implement XERQ's.

they'll just register and not worry about the verification process
      i like the idea though.

No bans, just remove posting privileges for short periods.

users must be able to disable autoplay for themselves as its not done well 99.9% of the time

adding someone to IL should include:

-not being able to see the threads they create

-no being able to see their posts that appear as 'hidden' in threads

    7. #107
Apparently the whole "NWS stuff must be in NWS marked" threads wasn't clear enough for people, so we probably need to specify no NWS avatars.

have any bans been handed out directly by moderators or are people just posting freely and not giving a fuck atm?

I guess I don't mind unverified AEs, but what if an OTer wants to use their username here but it's already taken? If OTers have a right to their username here, they're more likely to come over. For example, someone has already hijacked Kafka's name... so how is he going to join this forum now?

XERQ already got MrBonus back for him after someone reg'd it.

Collective list of most commonly suggested rules for XERQs review

-No spamming autoplay (idea to counteract this is allowing members to disable autoplay)
-Enforce all ban bets (maximum of 6 months)
      -No bringing shit to IRL
-Same NWS rules as OT (linked / tagged)
      -No spoilers without a warning
-No extreme bad fellowship in serious threads (death/cancer trolling, etc.)
      -No drugs/illegal shit
-No affiliate links (could be solved by adding vb4 plugin for XERQ to get money to pay for hosting)

In general, I think that when possible, rules should be enforced, or at least bolstered by the use of appropriate software. This will remove a burden from the moderators and will hopefully reduce complaints of unbalanced moderation that we're all too familiar with.

      For example:
      - Autoplay: Fazle disabled this but he half-assed it. Might as well do it right, and if possible, make it a user preference.
      - Spoilers: Provide spoiler tags and encourage members to use them

It's not really that easy, unfortunately. The youtube addon isn't that smart

Well, I'm interested in it, but that doesn't mean I'll actually do it lol. Just nice to think that the possibility is there. Basically I just hate how simple bugs can be left unattended to for eons on OT just because Fazle is the only one that can do work on the site.
