Seriously? are you implying that he did this entirely for the kids benefit? its for his family a group of people who share a common interest, and are sharing that common interest with their children so that they grow up FAR MORE COMPETENT handling shit in their daily lives better than people who lived their whole lives under a rock.

The kids, as they age are given an opportunity that so few have, that people here who are apparently scared of their shadow can't even imagine. There is nothing wrong with immersing your kids from an early age in shit like this, bad things happen, should we avoid everything that could end with a sick kid? good luck leaving the house because that car you drive might hit another car, or one might hit you.. that bath you use could have enough water to slip and drown in, that hot boiling water on the stove could topple onto your leg.

probably not. there have been a few rescues this year due to storms/rough seas. those are much more exciting.
